What does a web site cost? While every web site cost differently, here are some parameters to help you:
To have a successful web site you will need:
- One or more domain names.
- Server space to hold the site.
- Content.
- Web Site Design.
- Professional placement and search engine marketing.
- Website Maintenance.
Domain Names
Your domain name is how people will look for you on the web. Catalogic can help you to select and register your name. A .com.au domain name cost $88 for 2 years registration.
Web Hosting
We can host your site in a commercial web server. Depends on the size and traffic of your site, we charge $20-$30 per month for a small business web site, $35-$50 per month for a shopping cart and CMS web site.
Content
Web site content includes text, photographs, logos and art works. You may already have catalogues and brochures that can serve as the basis for your site. If not then you will need to develop the content. We also provide product photography services. A small product shot taken on white background will cost around $20, discount available for bigger volume job. (see photography sections for more details).
Web Site Design
We do not provide “package prices” since we custom design every site to suit individual needs of a business. These can serve as guidelines for you to establish a budget for you web site project:
- Small Business Site from $1500.
This usually includes a design concept, about 8 custom built static pages, a basic Flash animated graphic header image, a contact form. - Business Site with CMS from $2000.
CMS refers to Content Management System, which provides easy-to-use interfaces for client to update and manage web page contents. - e-Commerce Shopping Site, from $2900.
All our e-Commerce Sites provide standard shopping cart features (see Shopping Cart section) which are sufficient for most small business. You can add optional features or custom developed features for additional cost. If you want us to populate products for you, this will be charged at a hourly or per product rate.
Search Engine Placement and Marketing
We will place your website into 3 major search engines for FREE after we designed your web site. We can quote for additional search engine placement, optimizations and marketing.
Website Maintenance
We provide free email support for our website design clients. If a maintenance or update work is require, we charge at an hourly rate of $80. We can also negotiate a fix price contract to suit your needs.
